I like to run for my workout

While I try to vary the types of workouts I do from one day to the other, I typically go for a run. I prefer the simplicity of it. I don’t require any specialized gear, and I can run nearly anywhere I happen to find myself. I have invested into clothes designed to combat chilly weather, rain, heat and humidity. I’ve spent some extra money on a high quality pair of sneakers specifically for running. With nothing more than a brief warm up, I’m ready to run. It’s easy to increase the intensity of the workout. I can always push myself to run faster or further. I can choose a route that incorporates an incline. I am able to listen to music while I run and enjoy finding new paths. Sometimes I pay more attention to my surroundings and appreciate the fresh air, sun and scenery. I often run a path through the woods and look for squirrels, birds, turtles and blooming flowers. I sometimes choose to run through town and occupy myself with looking at the shops, restaurants and people on the street. There are times when I take advantage of my run to think things through. On some days, I feel like I could just keep running forever. I’m motivated and feel fast. There are always those days when every step is a challenge, and I can’t wait to get home. No matter how difficult or wonderful the run, I normally feel really good afterward. It’s definitely an uplifting experience. For the remainder of the day, I benefit from a great mood. I’ve found that I’m more productive on the days when I go for a run. I would run for my workout every day if I could. I’ve realized that it’s best to rest my feet and joints in-between.
