I live in Tornado Alley, and with tornados comes the drastic weather! Earlier in the year, we had an emergency evacuation due to a tornado and we had no option but for our own safety to leave our home.
When we returned we were lucky enough that our home was still standing.
However, the tornado had brought with it heavy flooding and I couldn’t get to our home because the water level was too high. After a few afternoons, I was at last able to return home, I went to turn on our cooling system, only to find it didn’t work. I figured like most of my stuff, it was messed up by the flood. I wanted to get an evaluation on whether or not it simply needed to be repaired or if I needed a new cooling system. I called out the air conditioning company and even though they were quite busy, I managed to snag an appointment. I was given the diagnostics, and came to find out our HVAC duct had been completely ruined by all the dirt and grime from the flood water. I would need a new HVAC system, and this is where our search began. I started checking all the heating and cooling system products on the websites of HVAC companies. At last after a few months of searching the internet, I had a new cooling system. The entire time I wasn’t staying at home while our home was repaired from the flood mangle. The worst section was the dampness and humidity had started to cause mold growth. It took forever for our home to be normal again.
