My spouse kept smirking. I could see it in the corner of my eye, although when I would glance in his direction, he would quickly look away or look at me innocently. I knew he was up to something, however I wasn’t sure what. As I approached our house, he became even more antsy, finally when I unlocked the door, eyeing him suspiciously the entire time, he jammed a box in my hands. It was a jigsaw puzzle? He knows I don’t like puzzles, so I looked at him, puzzled… He smiled & told me it was a surprise, & in order to get the surprise, I had to solve the jigsaw puzzle first! I couldn’t help however to be slightly amused & slightly frustrated at his antics, & after that I got on my hands & knees & started putting the pieces together. It took me approximately 1 hour & 30 hours, with my spouse pacing behind me impatiently, when I finally solved it, it directed me to the front of the house. It was after that I saw it, a smart control thermostat! I had recently told my spouse about how cool it would be to have one, & to be able to control the temperature & your HVAC machines even if you’re not home, & he must have taken the idea to heart! I hugged him & thanked him for the surprise, I would have never thought about my present being about the heating & cooling systems! My spouse showed me how the controls worked & how to turn on the oil furnace & air conditioner with my iphone, & it was so cool!
