We spent the holidays without our parents out of the country. We had a substantial snowstorm that grounded all the flights. We had already travelled from the house and we did not want to go back to the house to spend time alone. We planned on joining our cousins at our Grandmother’s place. When the storm was over, both of us got a vehicle and drove to surprise everyone. We knew we’d all have a charming holiday. We woke up to a banging noise in the lake house coming from the A/C unit. Our grandmother asked us to check it out, however both of us were not sure what was happening in the unit. We turned it off, and she insisted both of us get an A/C mechanic to come and repair it. It was winter. Nobody wanted to come out. My brother had some experience working on A/C units in the past, but Grandmother did not want to risk a lake house full of people. We obeyed her wishes. We called an A/C mechanic to come and inspect the cause of the banging noise. The A/C mechanic took his own sweet time to get to the lake house since there was snow everywhere. He noticed that part of the fan blade had come off. This part was being blown inside the device and had even caused some electrical wires to come loose. He said he needed to fix the faulty A/C fan. My grandmother agreed to this, and the A/C mechanic began taking the A/C unit apart to upgrade the aging fan. He also needed to tighten up the loose electrical wires which had come loose.
