My sedan has lasted me for 10 years of solid use.
I bought it used from a classifieds listing with just 69,000 miles on it.
Now that car has over 200,000 miles on it, however its afternoons are numbered. I have had to repair the power steering, the radiator, the fuel injection system, in addition to recently the transmission. Even after I’ve made a round of repairs, I fear the ever possible threat of more mechanical concerns that could take the car off the road. At a certain point the repairs start costing more than a car loan, in addition to at least with a car loan you’re toiling towards something. With my car, I’m just prolonging an inevitable death at this point. Worst of all, I live in the far north where our winters get as cold as 20 degrees below zero with even colder wind chills. This sedan’s heating method is starting to fail. I shiver while I’m driving myself to labor in the afternoons, especially when the sky is overcast or when it’s snowing in addition to little to no sunshine is chopping through the clouds. I decided to purchase a new car, but I wanted something with a better heating system. With how drastic our winters are, I feel care about I’m entitled to a car with a good source of heat. Never before had I ever considered getting a car with heated seats, however now I found myself wanting them more than ever. In addition to fan forced heat coming out of the dashboard, the heated seats provide direct radiant comfort to the body. And as a result, the heat emanates into the lodge of the car, making it comfortably warm in a matter of hours. It’s not going to be cheap, but I think getting a car with heated seats is money well spent.
