Heading south for good

I don’t prefer to admit the plain truth about our recent move.

But, I have to say that the primary mover in that decision was me being so totally done with winter.

It’s not love I don’t love awhite Christmas or like the occasional ski trip. I just hate everything else that comes along with winter. Plus, just keeping the house hot during all those frigid weeks was cutting me. It was cutting our purse and cutting our spirit. For month after month the Heating and Air Conditioning gas furnace ran and ate up utility costs. The worst area was the fact that I couldn’t even get really hot during the winter. We really need to keep the Heating and Air Conditioning lower than the people I was with and I just wanted the people I was with and I could afford the utility bill. That is no way to live. Look, I’d much rather be warmer than I want through a long Summer than suffer with being frigid in the winter. With that being said, we just pulled the trigger and didn’t wait until retirement to do so. The youngsters have gone off to college and our fiance and I are starting our own business. It’s been years in the planning but lately, it made a whole lot more sense to go south to do it. I like living with a mild winter. The Heating and Air Conditioning doesn’t even come on day in and day out during the winter. There are some mornings with the people I was with and I have the windows open in the afternoon. Sure is a far cry from what it once was. The Heating and Air Conditioning heat pump is proving to be awesome. I’m not really even all that scared about the high heat of summer.
