It was just the other day when I decided I wanted to treat my family to a movie.
- I actually had the kids all excited because I planned on getting everybody popcorn, a drink, and a movie snack.
I kept thinking about how relaxing the movie was going to be because they always have the best temperature control settings and the air quality is always fantastic. Well, when we arrived at the movie theatre, the place was entirely deserted. When I went to read the sign, it said that they were closed until further notice due to the pandemic we were facing. I guess I should have known, businesses have been shutting down and I suppose the movie theatre was no exception. I guess it’s just not essential that people go to watch movies during this situation, especially since germs could easily spread in a movie theatre. I just wasn’t thinking about all of that. I do wonder if they installed some powerful UV air purification systems in the movie theatres if they could open the movie theatres back up. UV air purification systems are known to eliminate harmful bacteria and viruses, and maybe it wouldn’t be such a big problem anymore. This situation has to be really horrible for the movie business right now if nobody is even going to the movie theatres! Think about all those millions of dollars they are missing out on. So, we ended up getting some microwave popcorn and snacks and then we headed back home to just watch a movie together on Netflix. It wasn’t the same, but we did crank up the A/C and tried our best to enjoy the movie.
